A Fun-hectic Day !

Reaching school, I noticed that a sea of blue-coats had invaded the sanctuary of our school. THEY were there as per the instructions on the notice board. The Class X - 2010 batch and the outgoing Class  XII of 2010. At the clarion call for the assembly, all moved towards the ground like bees attracted to flowers. Surprisingly, the Class X and the XII did not attend it. After the gathering, began the actual work; the job of distributing the result cards for Class XII-A. But class X did not' want to be forgotton. They wanted their answer sheets for the history exam. I did not have the heart to say no. Most of them had a look of worry. However, there was no option but to give them a pep talk. This always works wonders. And it did. After that and some hints on how to attempt the social science exams, everyone dispersed. I dashed down to the staff room and got onto to the next stage of the day.

Then came the second flood of the blues. Class 12th A assembled in the class room and were given their report cards. The jubiliation was very much thick in the air. The class cheered themselves ( at least some of them) for finally getting their result cards, which for for the first time (maybe) had no red mark ! ! That was, for some , hell of an achievement !  All round there seemed to be a sense of well being, of high spiritedness ! The day wore on and a steady stream of the pupils were seen at the office. On the flip side, the other classes were being conducted according to schedule of the day. However,taking advantage of the crowd created by the 10th & 12th, some pupils strolled to (its seemed they were thirsty) the water spouts and what do you know - - - they chatted and chatted and chatted . . . .  I perceive females are habitual chatter boxes ! ! That's what the mouths do, but their hands; they create a lot of beauty even in the sometimes drab day.
