The Un-identical

The last posting was a thought on the presence of twins in our school. However, there is always a flip side to every coin. This academic session, we have two pairs of twins in the same class ! The pair I am talking about today is the non-identical pair: one a girl and the other a boy. Despite being different in looks, like my younger brothers, the Akshay and Anjana pair are a set apart. They have jotted down a few words about themselves, which makes interesting reading; it is being reproduced here for your reading. In the same vein, my younger brothers, born in 1962 ( a difference of two to three minutes between their birth) were also an non-identical pair of twins. I was studying in Mussoorie and when I came for the holidays, I saw them, wrapped in tiny clothes. I remember I was a little scared to hold them or even touch them. They were no tiny and fragile looking. It was fun to have them around to see them grow up. But sad to say one of them expired in 1979, at the tender age of 18 years.
Even so tender is nature; so fragile that today it has to be handled with kid gloves. Every little thoughtless and selfish action takes its toll; both on our loved ones and the environment. Look atthe scene in our school. During the interval, we thoughtlessly scatter wrappers, paper napkins all over the ground, using it like a huge dustbin. However, we wouldnt do that at home. If our public life is so thoughtless, so crude, can we grow up to be responsible human beings? Here's some food for thought. Till next time, Hi Ya Silver ! !
