Today, the 12th of April, a circular announced that 13th April was to be a half working day. Nothing unusual as holidays are a regular feature of any academic session and they add the right masala to the regularity of the school. So, what was so special about this ? (Any takers for this Quiz? Are you listening O'Brian? ) It was 'The Return of Brother Mani ! ! [No ! It is not a sequel to a movie !] Ah ! I can literally hear the silent oohs and aahs from the students who happened to be there during his tenure as the Principal of our school. Nay ! he was not returning as the Principal, rather as the Provincial, Montfort Brothers of St.Gabriel, Delhi Region ! (There I have said it.) His stature demands that he efficiently manage about 18 institutions run by the Brothers keeping the ethos of the Society
His promotion was not at all surprising. As he is a person who possesses communication skills and has the ability to connect to people of all strata irrespective of rank or status.Above all, he has a photographic memory or should I say he does his home work well ! And that, my dear Gabrielites, is discipline !
And what a change ! All teachers who had the opportunity to work with him swelled up with pride and wanted to be there. These infectious vibes permeated through to the students. The assembly was as it should always be. Silent.. Alert..Disciplined ! The welcome was as usual.......Gabrielites come out at their best at such occasions, don't we . . . . . and how ! ! IMPRESSIVE, that how ! The boundary walls of the CBRI reverbrated to the prayer song and the National Anthem. And the best part was that there were no late comers. VERY IMPRESSIVE ! Thats how we Gabrielites were, are and will always be. Bro. Mani then proceeded to the junior section whilst the teaching started in the senior section.
